The Experience of the One New Man, Jeremy Suh

My name is Jeremy Suh. I was born and raised in Korea, loving the Lord. Even though I loved the Lord and was growing in life and faith, I wasn't satisfied and wanted something more. There was deep longing within me.

While I was in military service, my desire for the Lord and for being useful to the Lord was growing. I liked my job pretty much as an officer, but it couldn't be my eternal satisfaction. So I decided to come to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA).

One thing I really enjoyed from the Training was the revelation of the church as the one new man (Ephesians 2:15). Since I grew up in one country for 25 years, my view was somewhat narrow. Ephesians 2:15 says, “Abolishing in His flesh the law of the commandments in ordinances that He might create the two in Himself into one new man, so making peace.” In Witness Lee's footnote on this verse he points out that the Jews and the Gentiles were separated to the uttermost by separating ordinances, but both were created in Christ with the divine essence into one new entity, which is a corporate man, the church. I realized that the Lord wants His expression, which is Christ. The church comes out of not only one race or culture, but also many. In the Training, we have 30 different cultures, but enjoy Christ only and express Christ only, not by expressing our culture or differences. It is so enjoyable to be one even though our background is so different from each other.
